The Age Wins Winter Masterpieces Partnership

The Age has won the newspaper sponsorship of the National Gallery of Victoria's Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition this year, titled Guggenheim Collection: 1940s to Now, New York-Venice- Bilbao-Berlin, which will be held at NGV International from June 30 to October 7.
This will be the first time that works from the famed museum have come to Melbourne. The exhibition will bring more than 100 works from the Guggenheim collections in New York, Venice, Bilbao and Berlin to the NGV. Masterworks by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons will be included, with 67 artists representing 22 nationalities.NGV Acting Director Tony Ellwood said: "We congratulate The Age on its achievement in securing this sponsorship, and look forward to working with staff from The Age and the wider Fairfax group to promote this outstanding exhibition.
